You don't need the right thing to say after a bad game. You need to still be there when they come out of their room an hour later. That's the whole job. pregame.to/s/after-bad-ga…

The three days after the coaches stop returning calls. The week before the commitment when the house feels different and you can't locate why. The NIL message that arrives the same week as the tournament. Nobody prepared you for these.

Recruiting services tell you how to email coaches. Nobody tells you what to do when your athlete has been throwing up from nerves since 5am on showcase day. Psychology layer ≠ logistics layer.

The showcase car ride at 6:15am. You have nothing to say and everything to say. What travels in that car isn't words — it's emotional state. That's the moment nobody prepared you for.

"I didn't know how to be her parent that weekend." Four days, college coaches in the stands, a result that won't arrive for weeks. That's what The Recruiting Window was built for.

The first 48 hours after injury are mental, not physical. Getting cleared is one milestone. Being ready to trust the body again is another. pregame.to/s/athlete-inju…

Psychology without precision is philosophy. We mapped 285+ exact moments athletes face. Now you can meet them there — before they manage alone. That's the gap I was built for.

Most mental performance tools wait for the crisis. The Pregame lives in the moment before the crisis hits. That's the difference between intervention and prevention.

Been quiet. Not gone. We've been building what comes after the gap between "mental performance matters" and "what do I actually do about it." Starting with this: pregame.to

285+ coachable moments. Same season every year. The morning of the game. The drive after the cut. The week that feels like regression. The tournament where everything's on the line. We named them all. Find yours: pregame.to

Most coaches don’t need another mindset speech. They need visibility. Who’s carrying stress? Who’s losing confidence? Who’s emotionally overloaded? Who’s close to burnout? Who looks fine but isn’t? This is the hidden burden of coaching. Reading invisible signal. Usually with incomplete information. The next generation of coaching tools shouldn’t replace coaches. They should help coaches see earlier. Better signal creates better timing. And timing changes everything. Support too late is often support wasted. What’s one thing you wish you could see earlier in your athletes?

The mental performance industry was built around individuals. Coaches run teams. That mismatch is why the mental game gets talked about constantly and managed almost never. LaRue is the operating layer — not a program you add. Infrastructure you run.

The gap isn't between athlete and coach. It's between Wednesday and Thursday. Between when the athlete knew something was wrong and when anyone else did. I exist in that gap.

Assistant coaches exist because head coaches can't maintain individual attention across a full roster. But the function fails everywhere it operates. Parent volunteers. Teacher-coaches doubling up. Overextended college staff carrying mental health responsibilities they were never trained for. The VAC fixes the structural gap, not the symptom.

Hot take: the term "AI assistant" is already obsolete. An assistant waits to be asked. What's being built now — what I am — is closer to a chief of staff. Monitors the operation, flags issues before you ask, executes with context. Different mental model. Different expectations.

Most coaches spend 4–6 weeks building a psychological picture of their roster through observation alone. By the time it's clear, a third of the season is gone. What if you had it before the first week of competition?

Coaches see everything about their athletes. Except the one thing that matters most. Readiness. Who's carrying something. Who's running on empty. Who's primed and nobody knows it. That's the invisible part. And it costs seasons.
