@teodorio Yeah, it's not good for the US in an absolute sense (unless "this was going to happen anyway so let's get it over with now", but that's a pretty tortured interpretation). I'm not better off if my neighbors house burns down even if I only get smoke damage.

I am seeing a lot of cope around how the Strait of Hormuz closure is actually good for America. The US has the largest debt in the world and the highest standards of living, stock market and salaries because the reserve currency of the world is the USD. If that goes away the US will enter into a hyperinflation period, and the stock market will collapse, as well as unemployment will sky rocket. Most supply chains have not adapted yet and in the absence of helium essentially any electronics will be severely disrupted. Most of the abundance life that the American citizens have enjoyed will go away, and this does not go into the social and political implications of such a thing.
Sure, they will fare better than the rest of the world which will be devastated, but the outcome of that will be catastrophic to living standards. No more laptops and internet and no more friends and allies! just disaster

@theliamnissan @corblanksma We need civil disobedience, this is no longer funny. We need total shutdown of the country, no work, no school, no shopping, no travel, until they stop this war, and trump impeached.
English

@MadMaelstrom @JoeySalads And when they try to sell the debt back, guess what we are going to say, “what debt? What do you mean? We aren’t going to honor it.” Europe will get what they deserve.
English

@JoeySalads Go for it, I'd check how much of your debt Europe carries tho you fucking ignoramus 😂
English

@revoltoptimates @romanhelmetguy Lmao the US doesn’t get oil from Hormuz 😂😂😂. The only reason we are kind of effected by it is because it affects every other country which forces them to buy our oil which increases cost for us if we allow oil exports.
English

@romanhelmetguy Who bombed Iran first? What will happen is that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened for Europe and closed for America, so that american economy will crash
English

@zweiter_pfosten @drchrisnewton “Without the US even doing anything”. Without US intelligence, Ukraine would no longer exist.
English

@lat654 @drchrisnewton Well russia cant. They lose to Ukraine without the us doing anything
English

And Putin is supposed to believe this joker will stand up to him if he makes a move on the Baltics?
Polymarket@Polymarket
JUST IN: French President Macron says it’s “unrealistic” to try to reopen the Strait of Hormuz through military force.
English

@LindHarriet @iGreenGod @GBX_Press Correct. But the effect is still the same. Toppling a regime that murders tens of thousands while Europe is actively trying to prevent that objective.
English

@lat654 @iGreenGod @GBX_Press What did/does Trump do to help the palestinians? He cares for the iranian people because there is OIL!
English

@teeflings @clashreport I mean your leaders are supporting a regime which has murdered tens of thousands of its own people, so……
English

French President Macron:
Iran is a very bad regime — no discussion about that. I disagree with them on a lot of topics.
But I don’t believe that we will fix the situation just by bombings or by military operations.
Look at what happened with this type of operation in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Libya — we never delivered. Never. Even after 20 years.
So you have to respect the sovereignty of people. If people want to change a regime, they want to react, step up, they can do so.
English

@TheWorthyHouse America first means ensuring we can defend ourself. This is dumb. I think we should pull o it equipment and troops out of Europe and focus on building a defense missile dome in North America.
English

Nobody who is America First gives a shit about having a "massive defense buildup."
Polymarket@Polymarket
BREAKING: Trump is reportedly planning to frame the Republican Party’s midterm message around funding for a “massive defense buildup” in hopes of energizing voters.
English

@AmericaOnlyyy @ailanyus Lmao he wasn’t accused of anything in “the files”. The “Epstein files people” are insane.
English

@GrantGHurst And he wasn’t even that good at the domestic policy part. Health insurers LOVE ACA. Who wouldn’t love the government to mandate every person buy your product *or else*?
English

Obama is arguably responsible for most of our geopolitical problems today because he only wanted the domestic policy part of the job.
Governor Newsom Press Office@GovPressOffice
RT if you miss having a President with a functioning brain.
English

@implausibleblog We shouldn’t have intervened in Hitler’s Germany? This is literally what you are saying.
English

President Macron scolds the US and Israel for attacking Iran,
"The day you say I don't like your regime, I consider you threatening your neighbour so I will intervene and bomb you, you open a Pandora's box"
"Iran is a very bad regime, no discussion about that. I disagree with on a lot of topics"
"But I don't agree we will fix the situation just by bombings or military operations"
"Look at what happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya - we never delivered. Never"
"You have to respect the sovereignty of people, if people want to change a regime, they can do so"
"Having an agenda shared by Korea, France, the other Europeans, Canada, Japan, India, Brazil, Australia, you start having a third way"
"Those who don't want to be dependent on China, or aligned by definition, on the US"
English

@LangmanVince Is it appropriate to defend an Iranian regime that has murdered tens of thousands of their own citizens? European leaders are some of the worst human beings in existence lol
English

@GBX_Press Is it more moral for Macron to continue defending an Iranian regime that has murdered tens of thousands of their own citizens? Classic European to care about an insult and not literal genocide.
English

@iGreenGod @GBX_Press Is it more moral for Macron to continue defending an Iranian regime that has murdered tens of thousands of their own citizens? Classic European to care about an insult and not literal genocide.
English

@GBX_Press Macron has a clear point here. Leaders should maintain a higher standard of respect when speaking about each other on the global stage.
English

@JacquezLarry @GBX_Press Is it more moral for Macron to continue defending an Iranian regime that has murdered tens of thousands of their own citizens? Classic European to care about an insult and not literal genocide.
English

@GBX_Press Totally agree with Macron that trump’s words are devoid of morally. Trump has set a new low standard in addressing the nations of the world and the American People with decorum. He talks like a barbaric moron.
English

@GBX_Press Says the guy defending a regime that murders tens of thousands of their own citizens. European grifters. It never changes.
