I meet and talk to so many people who believe that ALL school librarians do is check out books and put them back once kids return them. Here is just SOME of what they ACTUALLY do. And not on this list: foster a lifelong love of reading. And what could be more important than that?

Just finished Louder Than Hunger by @MrSchuReads. This book is POWERFUL and sweet and tragic and triumphant! A must purchase, a must read. This book will change and save lives. TY John, for having the courage to share Jake’s story. It will always stay with me.

it’s crazy how missing even a couple days on here can feel like ages when you jump back in. 🙃 in those few days i missed: •school year ending (for my work and my kid’s school) •traveling across the world 🇺🇸✈️🇬🇷 •seeing @coldplay at the olympic stadium in athens, greece. here is ‘yellow’ one of my favorite songs. yellow lights filled the stadium. it was all just absolute magic. ☀️💛🫶✨
