Why is no one talking about this? After the Soviet Union collapsed, Russia faced chaos, hyperinflation, and poverty. Then Vladimir Putin came. He stabilized the economy, fixed the crisis, and restored Russia’s strength and pride on the world stage.

@RealBookerScott @Rnorrisecom2022 Post-Covid inflation was a world-wide event. Trump CHOSE to raise prices again after they came down and after his campaign lies that he would lower them further.

Perspective and expectation is very important. Over 9% inflation in '22. Compounded, over 20% during Biden's years. Prior to the 43 day shutdown all indicators, wage growth outpacing inflation, new manufacturing start ups, private sector labor participation were great. I compare this term to Reagan following Carter in '80. By the midterm election in '82 things feel like today and Reagan lost 34 House seats. I am not sure what people expected, gas came down to $2.75 a gallon and I eoukd never want grocery prices to come down and Trump should have never said that because that moved expectations. For prices to come down to where they were prior to Biden that would take deflation and that only happens in a recession and really only a depression. GDP was up to 4.3, wage growth was outpacing 2.7% inflation, which is what you want and that was all happening prior to the shutdown.
