@implausibleblog That’s nonsense. We are through the pandemic. Look at the definition of pandemic. The illness itself was never going to go completely. But now we can cope with the disease and it’s not covering large swathes of people across the country. Thank the scientists for that.

We can and should manage our response to covid much better than we are, to protect everyone's health, and in turn our nations's economies; sick people are generally less productive workers And the first step in this is to not pretend that covid is over - because it isn't. Instead, let's do better, because we can 🙏

@implausibleblog We can say the pandemic has been overcome, because it is no longer a pandemic. Covid-19 is now endemic. Of course that doesn't mean it's no longer serious, it's just not on the same scale as before.
