Just spoken to @MattHancock who confirmed South #Yorkshire will be in Tier 2. We cannot afford this without additional support - otherwise we will languish in local restrictions with no clear way out. We've put a plan to Govt and are awaiting more details. Will update asap.

So what is the situation in South Yorkshire? @DanJarvisMP tweets he has been told by Hancock we're in Tier 2 & the Rother Valley MP has said same to @donnyfreepress but I heard no mention in PM's Statement. Surely confirmation should have been provided - odd!
