Earlier this week, I called for a joined-up, neuro-optimal pathway to care for those with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease. The Govt must do more to support those with neurological conditions by implementing a coherent national strategy. #Parliament

On Monday evening I spoke about Parkinson's in Parliament. @parkinsonsuk and it's local branches do fantastic work to alleviate the pains and strains of this terrible disease. But there's more to do, the state of care in the UK is not good enough and the government must act.

I met with @ParkinsonsUK, calling for welfare reforms and NHS plans that reflect the realities of this complex, fluctuating condition. As the son and relative of people affected, I know how vital it is that no one is left behind.

This evening's Westminster Hall debate inspired by @ParkinsonsUK is one of the best attended and thoughtful I've listened to recently. Constructive interventions from Members across the House.

@ParkinsonsUK @LibDemConf Liberal Democrats were receptive to increasing #NHS neurological specialist staff, making #PIP payments accessible and fair, and improving access to #BlueBadges

Earlier this month, I met with representatives from @ParkinsonsUK to support their calls for the UK government to make time-critical medication a high-priority patient safety issue.

Great to catch up with @ParkinsonsUK to learn more about how the NHS can better meet the needs of the 282 people living with Parkinson's in Southgate & Wood Green. Good opportunity to hear people share their experience with Parkinson's & celebrate the work of @ParkinsonsEN.

I attended the @parkinsonsuk Drop-In session and was moved by the resilience of everyone I met These vital support groups provide such an important lifeline for those living with Parkinson's and their families, offering practical advice and genuine community connection 🧡

And MPs were also asked to take action to help ensure everyone has access to a Parkinson’s Nurse, and that people with Parkinson’s get their time critical medicines on time in hospitals in their constituencies. 3/3 🧵
