Vein disease is a common condition that can affect up to 40 percent of people in Australia. An appropriate treatment depends on how far the disease has progressed, and each stage represents a different effect on your body and requires a specific type of treatment.

Varicose veins are abnormal twisted, enlarged veins. Varicose veins tend to occur with increasing age, in those with a a family history of varicose veins and in association with prolonged standing or following pregnancy. Some patients experience no symptoms, while others do.
