Vein disease is a common condition that can affect up to 40 percent of people in Australia. An appropriate treatment depends on how far the disease has progressed, and each stage represents a different effect on your body and requires a specific type of treatment.

Why are my veins burning? Because of venous reflux which is a condition where a weak blood flow or faulty vein valves in the legs cause the veins to leak blood into the surrounding tissue. The leak results in a burning sensation often accompanied by itching&skin discolouration.

Studies demonstrate a disturbance of alpha- beta- delta and C fibers, possibly induced by ischaemia due to venous micro-circulation impairment and increased pressure on the sheath of the nerves. CVI with neuropathy may also be a cofactor in the development of venous ulcers.

An enlarged vein in your scrotum is called a varicocele. It can cause pain, infertility, and swelling. A specialized minimally invasive method is available for its treatment known as Varicocele embolization. bit.ly/3VPYtwJ #varicocele #varicoceleembolization

Spider veins are tiny engorged veins that lie close to the skin surface. They may be red, purple or blue in colour. What spider and varicose veins have in common is their underlying cause: increased pressure called venous hypertension #veinyhands #skincare #varicoseveins
