@altonfletcher16 You should read the last sentence of the original post. The church had a very healthy kids ministry and most parents utilized it. But a few did not and they were distracted the whole time.

Visited a healthy church in another state today…
While it was sweet to see some families worshipping together, I was grieved by how distracted parents were by their small children.
In my view, everyone would have been better served by utilizing the kids ministry.

Me—her oldest sister. I’ll watch Valentina when my parents can’t. In fact, all my siblings argue over who will get to take care of her in the future. Only a selfish sicko would assume her siblings do not love her and would not instinctually take care of her when my parents are gone. You people are cold, egocentric, eugenic monsters.

Rachel Duffy knowingly had a child at 47, which dramatically increased their chances for all kinds of genetic disorders. Which one of her siblings signed up to take care of this child after Rachel and Sean Duffy are too old or too weak to care for her? Down syndrome kids are incredibly strong if they get mad. And the higher functioning ones KNOW they are different and are lagging behind. Maybe the Duffys should have worked as a parapro for a school that serves developmentally delayed teens/adults (til age 26). It would have been a real eye-opener for them

There was a lot going on at the SBC this week, but perhaps the most-discussed item was the vote on the Truth & Unity Amendment.
This isn’t over yet, and it’s not a time for complacency.

Vote “yes” to suspend standing rule 6 today so that you can vote “yes” on the Truth and Unity Amendment tomorrow morning.

I thought that @WillyRice acquitted himself very well on a fairly hostile @baptist21 lunch panel.
“Why is the tone police always deaf in one ear?” was a fantastic line from Willy.
He’s a great communicator and I can’t wait for him to be SBC president.
