I hear a lot from testers who discover problems late in development, and who get grief for bringing them up. There's a way around that: produce a coverage outline and a risk list. At the beginning of the project or ASAP, post them in places where people will see and read them.

One test per acceptance criteria is not 100% test coverage. It's lazy testing.
