This is really strong point, and yuki actually open a path to him too, and to be honest he should have just walk away, sadly no one around him actually showed that leaving jujutsu before his extremist ideology solidifies, walking away is even possible or even an option to him.

My take on the Geto and Yuki scene is that the point of the scene is not to "see Geto shift" but to see that Geto is NOT built to be a sorcerer by putting him with the other special grade. Gojo would have definitely been able to discuss that like Yuki did, hypothetically.
