Nigeria just made a serious move in the global AI race. Kasi Cloud Datacenters has launched West Africa’s first hyperscale-ready, AI-capable data centre in Lekki, Lagos. For years, African data powered foreign economies. Now the infrastructure is being built at home. 🇳🇬 Nigerian businesses reportedly spend over $850 million yearly on foreign cloud infrastructure. That means: • capital leaves the economy • data sits under foreign laws • local innovation depends on external systems Kasi LOS1 is trying to change that with sovereign AI infrastructure built in Nigeria. The scale of this project is massive. Kasi’s Lekki campus sits beside major subsea cables like Equiano and 2Africa and is designed to scale to 100MW capacity. Lagos is positioning itself to become Africa’s digital gateway for AI, cloud, and high-performance computing. This is bigger than a data centre. It’s about: • digital sovereignty • AI independence • local cloud infrastructure • keeping African tech value inside Africa The next oil may be compute power and data ownership — and Lagos wants a seat at that table.

@FrigoVladislav Beautiful. I’d really like to know more about this. Do I give it access to my codebase? What permission should it have? What else can it do?

@lawrence_king1 100% agree — Lovable is the fastest path from idea to something real. The gap I'm seeing is what comes after: when users show up and something breaks, most vibe coders don't know where to look. That's the problem codesip.dev is solving.

I have built tons of working apps with Lovable.dev and its absolutely the best thing to happen to me. You don't need to code to build apps anymore. Focus that energy and resources on selling and validating your idea in the market. Sign up on lovable with this code link and get 10 FREE credits to build your dream app for free. lovable.dev/invite/Y49U3SE

With AI handling the heavy lifting of writing and cleaning up code, the hardest part of software engineering isn't the syntax anymore. The real bottleneck is figuring out exactly what to build and how it fits together. Strategy is becoming the most critical engineering skill. 💻 #SoftwareEngineering #DevLife

You can do both actually depending on where the code is hosted. You could use lovable to generate the UI and push the code to git so you could fix and even play with the code. You should understand Lovable exists for guys like us who can’t code but need to validate ideas fast without the financial burden of hiring a dev.

@lawrence_king1 "Totally agree on the no-code shift. Curious — with all those apps you've built, when something breaks in production do you know where to look in the code, or do you go back to Lovable to fix it?"

So, freelancers need at least 4 proven and relevant case studies to get hired. But how would you get the case studies without a job? If no one is willing to give a newbie freelancer an opportunity to work, how will they get proven case studies to add to their portfolio? I have faced this challenge so many times in my life and I have met so many people dealing with this as well. That is why I am building preview--taskprep.lovable.app If you are a freelancer, try it. It might just be the game changer for you. Let me know what you think.

Some of the ownership facts in that list are broadly accurate. But the overall framing — implying that “the media” or major tech and entertainment systems are centrally controlled by Jewish people as a coordinated group — is misleading and slides into a very old antisemitic narrative. A few important distinctions: * A company being founded or led by a Jewish person does not mean it is “Jewish-controlled” in an ethnic or religious sense. * Most of these companies are publicly traded corporations with: * boards, * institutional investors, * thousands of executives, * regulators, * and millions of shareholders. * The list selectively highlights Jewish founders/executives while ignoring many non-Jewish owners and leaders across the same industries. For example: * Meta Platforms was co-founded and is heavily influenced by Mark Zuckerberg, but Meta is also owned by massive institutional investors like Vanguard and BlackRock and governed by a board. * Alphabet Inc. was co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, but it is not an ethnically controlled enterprise. * Oracle Corporation was co-founded by Larry Ellison. * The Walt Disney Company is led by Bob Iger. * OpenAI is led by Sam Altman. Those are factual statements. But the conclusion many people try to draw from lists like this is where things become inaccurate and prejudicial. There are also factual problems in the list: * TikTok is owned by ByteDance, a Chinese company — not Oracle. Oracle provides some cloud/infrastructure services in the U.S., but does not control TikTok. * Aylo (formerly MindGeek) has had changing ownership structures; saying “Solomon Friedman is the owner” is inaccurate. * Bumble Inc. was founded by Whitney Wolfe Herd, but claims about her religion are disputed and not central to understanding the company. * Palantir Technologies was co-founded by Peter Thiel, who is not Jewish. What’s really true is this: * A relatively small number of giant corporations dominate global media, tech, entertainment, advertising, and data infrastructure. * Powerful people from many backgrounds hold influence in those industries. * Wealth and influence tend to concentrate in elite networks — Silicon Valley, Wall Street, Hollywood, venture capital, political circles, etc. That discussion is legitimate. Where it becomes dangerous is when: * complex systems are reduced to one ethnic/religious group, * individuals are treated as representatives of an entire people, * or selective evidence is used to imply secret collective control. That pattern has historically fueled conspiracy theories and discrimination against Jewish people.
