Being able to make thousands of people money through sports betting is such an amazing opportunity. However, I wish others in this space realized the responsibility that comes with this. Gambling is inherently predatory, but we have the opportunity to help people and teach them things even as basic as unit management that goes such a long way, instead of going 0-200 spamming HR parlays and torching bankrolls. Be better.

Medvedev ML -121 vs Cobolli | 2u Buying low on Medvedev at the one clay venue where his game actually translates. The market is anchored on the Monte Carlo 6-0 6-0 disaster three weeks ago, but Madrid isn’t Monte Carlo, it’s barely clay at all. Madrid sits at ~655m altitude, making it the fastest clay on tour. Rally length in 2025 averaged just 4.1 shots, for context the 2024 US Open on hard courts averaged 3.87. The ball flies at altitude, the bounce is high, and flat power hitting gets rewarded over topspin construction. This is where Medvedev’s hard-court toolkit, flat backhand, deep returns, big serve, actually works on dirt. He’s made the R16 here four straight years (2023-2026) and reached the QF in both 2024 (retired vs Lehecka with hip injury) and 2025 (lost to eventual champion Ruud 6-3, 7-5). His serve is firing this week. Against Marozsan: 79% first-serve points won, and in the deciding set he landed 92% of his first serves and won 78% of those points. Then a 70-minute demolition of Budkov Kjaer: 6-3, 6-2, converted 6 of 8 break points, 71% first-serve points won. At altitude, that serve gets extra velocity and kick that Cobolli’s return game isn’t built to handle. The H2H tells the story: Medvedev leads 2-0. Both previous meetings came on hard courts in 2024, where Medvedev dominated, winning in straight sets without conceding more than four games in any set. Yes, both on hard, but the style of dominance matters. Medvedev’s flat, deep ball flight is exactly what suffocated Cobolli, and altitude amplifies that same ball flight. Cobolli hasn’t found an answer yet, and these conditions don’t help him find one. Speaking of conditions, Cobolli is openly uncomfortable here. After his R2 win over Ugo Carabelli, where he dropped the first set and needed three to advance, he requested an ATP supervisor and said: “Something has to be done about this court, it’s impossible to play here. This is not clay, it’s so slippery that it feels like playing ice hockey on a tennis court.” His 7-2 clay record in 2026 is real, he beat Zverev in the Munich semis and reached that final, but that form was built at sea-level events where his topspin-heavy baseline game gets time to breathe. Madrid compresses rallies to ~4 shots where Medvedev’s flat depth dominates. Edge: true probability ~60-63% vs implied 54.8%. Taking it at 2u
