The UK government wants @GlasgowCC to give consent to an asylum barge being sited in the city. We will not give it. Glasgow’s communities are proud to be beacons of support and integration for asylum seekers & refugees. This is the polar opposite of that theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/a…

Got to be honest. These barges are highly suspicious. Why barges? Are they genuinely cheaper than building temp accommodation on land? Certainly not safer.

Conservatives are privatising the NHS as fast as they can because they will soon be gone. Labour is not going to reverse it. Why not support the Green Party which is devoted at every level to good quality public healthcare (and Social Care)? We can't afford profit-taking.

I think Djokovic is stuffed here. He’ll never be favourite against Alcaraz again. My other prediction is he tries a series of attempted tricks, such as releasing a bear onto the court, or having another toilet break but on the actual grass by the net.

Norway has a £1 trillion + wealth fund for ordinary people, built over many years by taxing fossil fuel giants at 78%. Last year alone Norway collected $89bn in tax from fossil fuel giants. They then used that fund to pay people’s energy bills. There is another way.

@RufusHound @ArtCrunchy As an unemployed undiagnosed autistic person, at the time, I found Blair to be actually worse than Thatcher or Major. Few benefits sanctions before Blair. Brown was an improvement because work search activity was less harsh.
