My beloved Arsenal-supporting dad sadly died in the early hours. He fought bravely after breaking his hip & getting pneumonia before Christmas. Having witnessed the kindness and care shown by the NHS I’d like to thank all the nurses & doctors for their professionalism. RIP Dad 💔

This is the ‘Tony Soprano table’ here at Holsten’s Ice Cream Parlour here in Bloomfield, New Jersey where the legendary late James Gandolfini sat to film the final scene of The Sopranos. Tony plays with the mini jukebox (pictured) and punches in the code to ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey as the scene fatefully cuts to black…to end the best TV series ever made in the history of television

As I’ve always been such a massive Sopranos fan I had to pay a pilgrimage to the New Jersey town of Bloomfield. To Holsten’s Ice Cream Parlour. Why? Because this is where the final ever scene of that magnificent series was filmed. If you’ve watched it you’ll know. If you don’t it’ll mean absolutely nothing to you…

So. This lunchtime I am mostly visiting a Sopranos-related place here in New Jersey…
