🚨 Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket has EXPLODED at Launch Complex 36 during a Static Fire test ahead of the NG-4 mission. The fully fueled rocket blew up during a routine static fire test at Cape Canaveral. No injuries, but the rocket is completely destroyed and the launch pad sustained heavy damage. This was supposed to be the first of 24 launches for Amazon’s Project Kuiper (their Starlink competitor), carrying 48 satellites. That timeline is now on hold indefinitely. New Glenn was also a key part of NASA’s Artemis lunar program. The timing couldn’t be worse, as SpaceX prepares for a Nasdaq listing at a $1.8 trillion valuation, Blue Origin just watched its biggest rocket explode on the launch pad.

This is the pits. New Glenn is a great rocket. It's the 4th launch of New Glenn (NG-4) putting 48 Amazon LEO low-earth Internet satellites in space. Both are important programs, and this is a huge set back.
