McNeese is going to survive a classic against UT Rio Grande Valley. The Vaqueros were an incredible team for the past two months ripping off 13 wins in the final 16, including nearly two wins over the Cowboys. Head Coach Kahil Fennell. Remember the name.

UTRGV's mid season rise was one of the most underrated stories in the sport this year The Vaqueros fell just short of a @SouthlandSports championship appearance, losing to McNeese in a wild triple OT heart breaker. There's a lot to be proud of for this program. Kahil Fennell is doing a great job here

BTW, that was the best night of Southland Hoops EVER. Stephen F Austin finds a way to wheel one out against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. McNeese guts out a 3OT game with one of the hottest teams in the country, UTRGV. I don’t think people realize how improved the league is.
