I've read and enjoyed several of Richard Dawkins' books. Like many smart people, Dawkins seems to find it hard to realize (or admit) when he's out of his depth or talking about something he's ignorant of. Cf. his habit of totally dismissing philosophy.

@Dr_Marxist_27 Those are both subjectivist views i.e. social constructivism and divine command theory. There are 5 metaethical theories. The two realist ones are naturalism and intuitionism and the 3 anti-realist ones are subjectivism, nihilism and non-cognitivism. I like intuitionism
