With the election over, I know many businesses already pricing in anticipated Trump tariffs. This is happening now. We should expect inflation to rise again, wages to stagnate, lay offs, and anticipated bonuses will be used instead to buy materials now. The hardship you wanted.

But make no mistake, this IS the chief lesson people will take from 2016 + 2024. Good luck seeing another woman presidential candidate in this lifetime.

@JustAWorm @mayaonstage Had a good cry this morning, and later ate a whole bag of chocolate Reisen. What happens on 11/6 stays on 11/6! But then I baked some bread, made dinner, and loved my kid. And started thinking what else to make of all this. Self care looks like how you need it to.

The only reason I'm not full of rage is because I spent the last year getting in the best emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual shape of my life. But when the flight attendant asked me if I'd be willing to assist in an emergency, I wanted to say, "depends." Partly because I wanted to make him laugh but also because...yeah, I dunno fck that dude in 17B. Maybe I won't help him. But I said, "yes," and smiled because here's the thing... The people who elected Donald Trump don't deserve our energy, so I'm not giving it to them. They have fcked around, and they will find out - and they will blame anyone but themselves because he's given them the permission structure to do so. Instead, I'm channeling my energy into building community with all of you. I beg you all to cut yourself some slack in the coming days, weeks, months. Bigotry was never gonna go out with a whimper. We have to slay this beast, and it's going to require all of our strength, all our diversity, all our talents. I know it doesn't feel like it right now. But we got this.
