@lditson @ImSoSarah @TheTalentStrat1 That’s not typically for HR to decide. Program Mgr and Contract Mgr are responsible to track those reqs. For most Contractors either they have a lower level billet to fill or another contract. Security gives background input. Rarely is HR going to know more about the contract

An HR/recruiter person on LinkedIn is arguing that HR and recruiting should have full veto rights on any hire - even if the manager and rest of team wants them. This is wild, correct? I’m trying to think of a world where this even makes sense.

@ImSoSarah @TheTalentStrat1 Maybe if the candidate doesn’t meet the quals the mgr required (such as “>5 yrs exper” but candidate only has 2. Fed contractors can’t hire the 2 year person. Other than that, only examples might be a bkgd check showing multiple convictions for I.e. assault. Otherwise, no!

On my way to work this am, I saw a cop cuffing a suspect after a traffic stop. It was a motorcycle cop. I wanted to hang around just to see how he was going to transport that suspect on the back of his bike. 🏍️
