Google hates your site? No problem! Post the same thing on Reddit, and it will instantly rank in position 1.

Ok designers might have a problem. Testing the new image model on ChatGTP. Simply asked it to look at our new website and think what creative we can serve as retargeting ads. Such good options!

A very cool and interesting research!

The Fan-Out Effect: What Happens Between a Query and a Citation - From a research developed by @Kevin_Indig & @AirOpsHQ analyzing 16,851 queries and +353K pages across ChatGPT's full retrieval pipeline: * Retrieval rank is the #1 signal. A page at position 1 in ChatGPT's retrieval results has a 58% citation rate vs. 14% at position 10 — a 4x gap that no amount of content quality alone won't close. Great SEO is your advantage in AI search. * Your headings are what get you cited. Pages with headings that closely match the user's query are cited 41% of the time vs. 29% for weak matches. Heading structure is the primary on-page lever for AI citation — more impactful than word count, topical breadth, or body copy. * Domain authority doesn't translate. DA and backlinks show no positive correlation with AI citation — and are slightly inversely correlated. ChatGPT evaluates content directly based on relevance and structure, not authority signals. Read more: airops.com/report/the-fan…

@Ldnbox Reddit is underrated. Does it directly link to their website or mention their brand?

I posted this for one of my clients. It’s their latest blog post which I redistributed on Reddit as a native post. This is instantly ranking number 1 on Google for their keyword and their blog post is not even in the top 10.

Website traffic from ChatGPT will go down even more now.
Lily Ray 😏@lilyraynyc

To me, this is some of the biggest news in AI search right now that I'm not sure enough people are talking about. (Props to @5eg at @resoneo for pulling & visualizing this data) ChatGPT 5.3 was launched on March 3, and the model is now linking out to sites a lot less than before. So your tiny sliver of traffic from ChatGPT is about to get tinier. Yes - cue the "it's not all about citations, it's about brand mentions" comments. This is true, but this data point is still worth noting for traffic-obsessed CMOs. Brands can be recommended in ChatGPT but not have much to show for it in terms of referral traffic, now more than ever. Keep an eye on that demand for your brand name (well, assuming Google can get its act together with tracking impressions 🫠)

I made an app to fix my terrible posture. It uses my MacBook Pro camera to watch me work. When AI detects that I’m sitting like a shrimp 🦐, it sends me a notification with a preview of my posture so I can reposition myself. Everything stays local. It works offline too. > supershrimp.io And because apparently my brain only responds to fake rewards, I added XP: good posture makes my shrimp evolve (currently level 7).

Big announcement! After 16 years in SEO, today I'm launching something I've been building toward for a long time. 🥳 Introducing Algorythmic: my new SEO and AI search consultancy. For the past decade+, I've led award-winning SEO teams at agencies. I've spoken at ~100 conferences. I've spent thousands of hours analyzing Google algorithm updates, studying E-E-A-T, and more recently, figuring out how brands can show up well in AI-driven search. Now I'm channeling all of that into something of my own. Through Algorythmic, I'll be selectively working with brands 1:1 on SEO consulting, AI search optimization (AEO/GEO), E-E-A-T strategy, content quality audits, Google Discover, algorithm update recovery, hourly training, and more. I'm also excited to announce that as part of this launch, I will be continuing my role as VP of SEO & AI Search at Amsive, where I still oversee an incredible team of 30+ SEO experts (who won "Best Enterprise SEO Team" in 2025, according to the Search Engine Land awards!). Algorythmic will allow me to take on solo projects that are a strong personal fit for my skills and experience. Check out the comments for the link to my new site. BTW, if you're curious about the name Algorythmic: it's a mashup of "algorithm" and "rhythm." If you know me, you know those are the two things that have defined my entire life (especially 'rhythm'). The full origin story (involving a fictional SEO-themed deli my Amsive team created in 2019) is on the blog - link also in comments. I'm being very intentional about the work I take on through Algorythmic. If you think we'd be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you. Check out the new site and get in touch!

This is my post #1 on Reddit, and it has been posted on my own subreddit with 5k members. So I guess, subreddits are valuable.
