Fire crews responded to a structure fire in the 100 block of Forest Hill Ave. Smoke showing on our arrival from the second floor. Firefighters made entry into the rear portion of the second floor where they located and extinguished a working fire. Fire had extended into the eaves and attic. Overhaul operations are ongoing. Unfortunately one cat was located deceased as a result of the fire. No civilian or firefighter injuries reported. Fire Investigators are on route to determine origin, cause and circumstance. #ldnont

Crews responded to a two vehicle MVC on Sunnydale Road between Wonderland and Hyde Park Rd. with reports of possible entrapment. On arrival, one vehicle was found overturned in the ditch and fully involved in fire. Firefighters quickly advanced a hose line and extinguished the fire. All occupants were confirmed out of both vehicles, patients are in care of EMS and transported to hospital with unknown injuries. Sunnydale Road is closed between Wonderland Rd and Hyde Park Rd. for an undetermined duration. Please find an alternate route.>jb

Crews responded to the 500 block of Mornington Ave for reports smoke showing on the ninth floor, upon arrival, crews quickly located a fire in an apartment on the ninth floor, initiating a quick interior attack extinguishing the fire. Ventilation has cleared all smoke from the affected unit and hallways , Damage estimate is approximately 75,000. This is a reminder to never leave cooking unattended. Stay in the kitchen , keep combustibles, clear of stove tops and always have a working smoke alarm.>jb

Two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Dundas Street. Firefighters quickly stabilize the vehicles and extricated two patients. One patient was transported to hospital while the second was assessed on scene by EMS with unknown injuries. Another great collaboration between our partners at LPS and EMS, ensuring a coordinated and efficient response. Fire crews has since packed up equipment and cleared the scene, LPS remain on scene as they await tow trucks to remove the vehicles. Please avoid the area. Dundas Street is currently has restricted lanes between Dundas and Lyle. >jb

Multiple fire crews arrived on scene to a working structure fire at approximately 630am fire was through the roof in the 400 block of Dundas Street at Maitland. Two additional engines were added to the response and one additional aerial. Advised LPS to get a city bus on standby for shelter for residence. Fire crews did a primary search and were pulled out due to unstable structure. Aerial operations were initiated. No injuries to report to firefighters.
