In general, I don’t follow much non-tech news. And for the past few weeks, I was travelling - living the kind of days that feel far away from reality. We landed back on the night of the 31st. The next day moved gently - unpacking, resting, catching up on sleep. And then, in the quiet of the evening… That’s when my parents finally told me how bad things have been in Punjab. Shops shuttered. Streets waterlogged. Electricity flickering on and off. Crops drowned. Phone signals barely working. People displaced. Fear growing with every dark cloud. And still, they kept it all in. They were going through so much. But they waited. Not because they didn’t need help… But because they didn’t want to disturb our joy. How are you going to compensate for this experience? It took me 20 minutes on a line to enter the Business lounge, then a 10 minute walk to the baggage checking area, and 10 minutes walk back to the boarding gate!
