NASA Spaghetti Spacecraft 👇 Inspired by NASA's giant antennas, Risers built towers to support marshmallows, learning about structural engineering and space communications. They faced real-world challenges, balancing height, stability, and strength—just like NASA’s engineers!

Glassblowing on a random Tuesday afternoon? That's kinda how we do things. Last week, Moonrise Decatur hosted an experience at Decatur Glassblowing with artist John Drury. Risers learned about sand casting and even made their own creations.🔥

This Riser is finding volcanoes on Mars as part of our Space Exploration & Mars Colonies experience!🌋🔭 Using NASA’s 3D virtual tour, Risers explored the Martian landscape and imagined where their colony would be built.🚀

Rock climbing, anyone?🤘

We took a walking field trip to B-Side Coffee with our teen Risers.☕️ The vibe was perfect—teens ordered custom drinks, learned about coffee-making, explored the café, and just hung out. We’re definitely making this an every-week kind of thing.😎

Merch, Marketing, & Advertising Course 👇 This course is all about turning creative ideas into real products! Risers will begin by designing new Moonrise merch, from sketching their ideas to perfecting them with design software.

When we tell Risers they can create whatever they like in our makerspace, we never quite imagine this. But we’re definitely not mad about it.😄🦸
