Apart from programming, I'm also using GitHub Copilot CLI to automate bash tasks. Here is an example of automating testing of our Linux CTF challenges lab for @learntocloud

Two weeks ago someone copied our entire curriculum and posted it on their site to drive traffic. That pissed me off so much I immediately fired up VS Code and GitHub Copilot and started building the new version of Learn to Cloud. We're building awesome verification systems, improving the curriculum, and learning a lot as we go. It's been freaking awesome. So to that person who copied everything, and to all the bootcamps using our curriculum for their overpriced programs: thank you. This is the motivation I needed to start 2026.

@madebygps @learntocloud this is the missing link for so many devs most ai content stops at prompts you went all the way to keys, k8s, latency, audit trails feels like the first genai path that actually touches production reality

coming soon to @learntocloud streaks progress tracking hands-on project verification and more I will probably add some sort of journaling in here too because personally it is the most impactful habit for my career

Happy 2026, for those looking to learn some Bash and CLI skills, I just shipped an update to the @learntocloud linux CTF! We've expanded our free, open-source Linux command line challenge from 12 to 18 challenges, perfect for anyone learning cloud fundamentals or brushing up on Linux skills. New challenges include: 🔍 Cron Job Hunter - find hidden scheduled tasks 🔐 Process Environment - extract secrets from running processes 📦 Archive Archaeologist - dig through nested archives 🔗 Symbolic Sleuth - follow trails of symbolic links 📜 History Mystery - command-line forensics 💾 Disk Detective - explore filesystem metadata New features: 💡 Hints system - stuck? Take your time reading. Highlight things that surprise you, underline new words for your vocab. Write down opinions, definitions, thoughts, whatever you want! Truly learn from what you read, get every bit of knowledge you can from the words. Aim for depth.

2025 I spent the entire year learning and building with GenAI. I have just updated @learntocloud with the relevant lessons. Phase 2 now has: - Generative AI APIs (OpenAI SDK, structured outputs, function calling) - Prompt Engineering (few-shot, context, specificity) - New Capstone: Build a Journal API with AI analysis These topics now thread through the entire curriculum: Phase 3 Cloud Platform→ Deploy AI-enabled apps, secure your LLM API keys in production Phase 4 DevOps→ Containerize AI apps, store secrets in K8s, monitor LLM latency & token usage Phase 5 Cloud Security → Secrets management, audit trails, and security for AI endpoints Learn to Cloud and all relevant subprojects (our Linux CTFs and our capstone repos) are free, open source, and updated monthly by people who actively work in the field. There is a reason why PAID bootcamps and schools reference our material. However, we cannot and will never offer handholding or keeping you accountable. To learn deeply means to struggle, to doubt yourself, to experience failure, and to sacrifice. Wisdom takes work and time. If you have the discipline and belief in yourself, L2C is the right resource for you. You can do it. Wishing everyone a year of deep work and learning in 2026. learntocloud.guide

Just got done with topic 1&2 of Linux and bash on @learntocloud. After a long while of stalling, got to set up the az CLI on the both Powershell and WSL. learnt a few Markdown syntaxes and used that to take notes for the git repo I also established.
