@JhanHky I agree with this. Introducing checking at the 13u level is right in the middle of large body changes in the boys game. The excuse was skill development but a majority of organizations do a poor job in preparing for checking in the 11 and 12u development

This is why Im in favor of introducing bodychecking early in minor hockey. Else, have kids play more tag and try martial arts/combat sports early
