All too often in the online community, I see the significance of ownership, and the collar water down. I see it used as a power-play, or as a way to somehow obtain clout in the community. It seems in the online community, there is a recurring rush to claim and be claimed, a race to the label before the foundation is even poured. But true ownership isn’t a status symbol or a digital tag; it is a profound, 24/7 commitment to the care of another person’s heart, safety, and autonomy. To own is to take on the absolute responsibility for the space your submissive occupies. To be owned is to find freedom within the boundaries of a trusted authority. Neither can be fully comprehended in a few weeks of conversation. Rushing into ownership is like building a castle on sand. Without time, consistency, and the weathering of real-world challenges, the claim is just performance. Don't be in a hurry to lock the clasp. Real power exchange doesn't need to be rushed, it needs to be earned, understood, and respected.
