Reminder that Democrats subsidize rural regions (bad) via hospitals, broadband internet access, infrastructure, etc. Rural people turn around and consistently vote Republican. If Democrats stopped frivolously spending, there’d be increased economic pressure to concentrate in urban areas, thus helping democrats’ political prospects.
