Chengdu nightlife is basically shit now. Idk what it used to be like but even in the 2 years I’ve been here lots of places have shut down. Plenty of shitty clubs and 民谣 bars but little else. If an alternative music scene is hiding from me I’d love for someone to point it out

@regularaugust thinking more the thematic core of anxious relation to alter-identity. in this particular aspect I genuinely think ghoul’s haise/kaneki/etc triad is more successful than CSM, but in both cases there’s an awkward fumbling of the relationship between thematic and narrative lvls

@left_plain TG:RE caused me to lose interest with how many new characters they kept throwing in the mix.

@regularaugust artistically p2 suffered terribly as well but I have a lot of tolerance for this. in conjunction w the rest though you could really feel his waning interest. P2 really feels like TG:RE to me

@regularaugust he wanted to shock us with “crazy shit” but it lacked emotional tension. he also should have drawn a sex scene.
