From our many conversations over the years, you know I feel your pain. And I love this new direction. Looking at it through the MCode lens, it makes perfect sense. Certain people are wired for collaborative group learning, while others (like me) prefer learning on their own — which might explain why you've seen 50% completion rates on your courses until now. Ideally, you could offer BOTH a live, cohort-based model, and an evergreen, self-study version. But at the end of the day, you've got to do what energizes YOU as well. And we know what your MCode says about that. ;)

I couldn't agree more, Jamie. After all these years, I love that you still nurture that “beginner’s mind,” even after teaching thousands of students. It's why I love the Zen idea of “shoshin” — the ability to constantly approach things with fresh eyes and a lack of preconceptions, just as a beginner would. The second we stop thinking like beginners, we lose touch with what's most important in our products, but even more importantly... in life. #neverstoplearning
