They say there’s no such thing as a perfect man… those people never met #TomKane. I’ve never in my life met a sweeter soul or a better human being. He and his wife raised three beautiful children, then opened their hearts and adopted six more. Six more. Imagine that. Visiting their home brought everyone joy. It was pure magic… authenticity, warmth, acceptance, and a lot of #StarWars. And his acting? Everything he did, he did to perfection, but never in a predictable way. Tom always found something deeper, more creative, more thoughtful, weird, fun & unique. Brilliant. Giving. Funny. Supportive. Kind. There was no one like HIM. I’m beyond grateful for all the hours we spent together in the booth, and so grateful we got to see him again recently… hug him tight and tell him how much we love and miss him. There will forever be a hole in my heart. I love you, Professor. You were the best dad, the best human, and I feel so honored to have known you and called you my friend. Until we meet again in the recording studio in the sky… 🩷💚🩵💔

I have been considering how to translate key parts of his live. There is a real risk in reducing his remarks to isolated soundbites. Each point needs to be heard within the full context of the broadcast and the position he is speaking from. Without that context, his words could easily be misunderstood. My initial instinct was to wait for the official subtitles, but I know there is concern in the meantime. So, here are provisional notes based on what I heard him say: 1. He expressed love for both ARMY and the members. 2. He really wants to perform again. They are practicing and actively preparing for a comeback. Recording is underway or has already taken place. He cannot share details, either to preserve the surprise or because some information is not his to disclose at this time 3. He is aware that some fans feel frustrated about the lack of group content in the second half of 2025 and the absence of year-end performances. He said he cannot explain the specific reasons for these decisions 4. He can no longer direct the other members or speak on their behalf in the way he once did. They are adults 5. They are actively working through how to adapt their content to the current entertainment environment, especially with the dominance of short-form content. He finds this adjustment difficult. This is another transition they are working through 6. As always, he is worried as well. He shared that he is struggling with sleep again and is wondering whether he should resume meds. Despite his exhaustion, being with the members in practice, seeing Hobi and others working actively, still feels right to him 7. He also mentioned that he is learning to drive, something he feels he should already know how to do at his age 8. Altogether, this underscores that they are in a transitional period moving from the military back into group activities and a comeback. This process takes time. They need time to live as human beings and as artists in order to make music 9. He realises his words can be misunderstood whatever he says. And despite this and his fears about it, he needs to be real 10. Again he loves us every much and CB is coming

This will be a long post: but this will probably be the last I ever do a show in Texas. All the times I've done Texas conventions things like this happen; Inventory can be replaced but lots of sentimental items and meds in our backpack were taken that cannot be replaced. This is will be expensive to replace all the stolen inventory and our event equipment and damages. I never wish ill or bad upon anyone but f*ck you to the person who did this, I hope you and your future generation face all the bad juju in this world, karma will eat you alive.
