Correct. The Unions and the Tony Blair Institute and advocates of renewables all back more drilling in the North Sea. This is no longer a right or left issue. It’s a right and wrong issue. And Ed Miliband is WRONG. We must back the North Sea.
Sharon Graham@UniteSharon

Blocking oil and gas production in the North Sea, especially now is simply an act of monumental political self-harm. Domestic gas from Jackdaw and oil from Rosebank are essential for jobs and for energy security. 1/2 cityam.com/drill-in-brita…

🚨TREVOR PHILLIPS RAGES: STARMER IGNORING GROOMING GANGS BECAUSE PERPETRATORS ARE MOSTLY PAKISTANI MUSLIM MEN 😤 “I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW CROSS I AM ABOUT IT”, Phillips declared, barely containing his anger. 😡 Brands Government Response “Utterly, Utterly Shameful” and “So Obviously Political” – Accuses Ministers of Cowardice to Avoid Offending Key Demographics in Labour-Held Seats and Councils 🎯 Sir Trevor Phillips, the former chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, has unleashed a furious condemnation of the government's handling of the grooming gangs scandal. He accused those in government of deliberately refusing to confront the issue head-on because of “the demographic of the people involved, largely Pakistani Muslim men” and because so much of the abuse occurred “in Labour-held seats and councils who would be offended by it”. “What the government is doing is utterly, utterly shameful. It is so obviously political. The people in government who are responsible for this should really be ashamed of themselves because it’s so obviously that they’re not doing this because of the demographic of the people involved, largely Pakistani Muslim men and also in Labour-held seats and councils who would be offended by it and that’s clearly the reason that they’re not pursuing this, and it is utterly shameful given what has been done to these children by these men. I cannot tell you how cross I am about it.” The outburst lays bare deep frustration at what he sees as a politically motivated refusal to act decisively – prioritising electoral sensitivities over justice for the thousands of vulnerable girls who were systematically abused. This is rage from one of Britain’s most respected voices on equality and race. The question now: will Keir Starmer and Labour finally listen – or continue to look the other way?

🚨BOMBSHELL EXPOSÉ: TREVOR PHILLIPS RIPS LID OFF LABOUR'S GROOMING GANGS COVER-UP 💣 Keir Starmer and the Labour Party Sabotaging National Inquiry to Hide Racial Targeting of White Girls and Decades of Failure in Their Own Councils In a devastating intervention, Sir Trevor Phillips has blown the whistle on what he calls a deliberate political cover-up at the heart of Britain's grooming gangs scandal. The former Equality and Human Rights Commission chair accuses Labour of sabotaging the national inquiry because of its explosive racial implications — and because so much of the abuse took place under Labour-controlled councils that did nothing to stop it. “The government clearly never wanted these two things to be put together,” Phillips declared. He points to Labour's efforts to downplay “the intersection of race and sexual predation,” insisting the perpetrators deliberately targeted victims because they were white and outside the groomers' community. “These children are chosen because of their race. They are chosen because they are white and because they’re outside the community of the groomers.” Phillips highlights the chilling uniqueness of these crimes: unlike typical child abuse kept hidden, grooming gangs operate in plain sight — with perpetrators knowing they are shielded. “The other thing is these people know that they are protected. They’re protected politically, they’re protected by social workers, they’re protected by local police. That is the scandal here.” He pulls no punches on why a full reckoning has been avoided: “Much of this took place in local Labour councils and the authorities who were supposed to be watching over this, stopping it, monitoring it and all the rest of it were controlled by those councils and they did nothing.” This is not just institutional failure — it's a politically motivated shield thrown over horrific, racially aggravated sexual exploitation that went on for years under Labour's watch. Right now, they deserve justice — and Britain deserves the full, fearless national inquiry that has been denied for far too long.

@NotFarLeftAtAll Or the UK could just simply build a couple of nuclear power plants and drill for the oil in its own back yard… and be energy independent tomorrow…

Prior to all four French trys, we gave away possession with a poor kick. 1st - Williams box kick 2rd - Kicked dead by Edwards (unlucky) 3rd - Williams kick 🤯🤯🤯 4th - Adam Beard kick 😬 It's an effective strategy, but we're getting it all wrong.

“Let’s spend £4.5trillion on net zero over the next 25 years. Let’s ban new oil and gas licences in the North Sea but spaff away £40billion buying North Sea oil and gas from Norway. Let’s buy coking coal shipments from Japan but ban UK coal mining. Let’s plaster thousands of acres of farmland with solar panels but spend £50million on sun dimming experiments. Let’s give Drax an estimated £1.8billlion in taxpayer funded subsidies on top of the £11billion it has already received despite Drax burning an amount of wood equivalent to 300 million trees. Let’s give £1.5 billion of taxpayers’ money this year alone to wind power companies not to generate power from their wind turbines. And let’s spend £30billion of taxpayers’ money on carbon capture machines but put pensioners, farmers and the disabled into financial peril by falsely claiming there’s a £22bn black hole.”

The one good thing to come out of this Alaa Abd El Fattah debacle is that it’s revealed, more than any single other case, the incompetence of Labour, stupidity of luvvie celebs, the two tier nature of what’s considered ‘hate speech’ & the bias of the British establishment media.

How on earth are Wales meant to compete with South Africa without our non-Wales based players? Its a crime to have organised this out of window international and is solely a money making scheme by WRU with no thought to players welfare
