I have been reflecting on what the British equivalents of the Japanese Microseasons might be (see previous video) and this week is most definitely sweet chestnuts and silver linings! What have you observed?

Today is the day for celebrating @TNLComFund! Thank you to those who play the National Lottery, you helped us to build our Demo Garden at @MeanwoodFarm and we are very grateful. Here's our end of the season produce, compared with the way it started!

I love this time of year as the season changes to Autumn. I've been making my "end of the season pesto" with the last of the basil, chives and sorrel from the garden as I harvest tomatoes and thin out the vegetable beds.

In Britain we are obsessed with our weather - perhaps because we try to classify it into only 4 seasons. Recently I have been reflecting on the 72 kō or "micro seasons" in Japan which are as useful as they are poetic! youtu.be/OnUWPWnusUg

We were at @LeedsHospitals St James' yesterday to harvest food and give tasters to promote the next round of Therapeutic Horticulture Sessions that we hope will happen in Autumn @The_RHS. The staff garden is coming on beautifully and we can see people have been using the space.

We were delighted to support the wonderful @SlungLow with Be Kind To The Planet Workshops at the Kindness Festival for @IngramRoad yesterday. The kids planted seeds and seedlings and created beautiful messages of kindness for those who would be adopting them.
