Oh Thuli, with all due respect... your "restitutive measures" is pretty much interpreted as, and just a very polite way of saying:
• use of race before - wrong.
• use of race now - justice.
You can call it "restitutive" or "remedial" all you want, but when policies are still explicitly race-based, the principle hasn't changed at all!!
Justice should be blind, not selectively applied based on historical narratives while ignoring present-day impact.
So at some point, "equality" surely has to mean equality under the law, not engineered outcomes.

If you want to buy a Porsche, buy it. Even if it is just to signal status. Don’t listen to anybody. I didn’t buy it, and buying it now wouldn’t be me again at 25 driving it. That moment has gone. Calculating every move and trying to make everything perfect was so dumb. So dumb. Play status games. Make mistakes. Don't try to get rid of your ego early. Experience all that while it matters.
