Fortunate to see first hand our colleagues at UNHAS Makassar eager to instil science-based policies to safeguard reefs on the densely populated islands of the Spermonde Archipelago. Conservation is a socioeconomic and cultural challenge. @4D_REEF

Thanks to @TriesRazak for the brilliant talk and showing @4D_REEF how reef restoration projects have evolved in Indonesia.Takeaway: Many in place, but a successful reef restoration project must ensure long term maintenance to go beyond transient farming and transplantation.
