We waited more than a year for OFDO to air. I don't usually voice out in public that much about my complaints because I didn't want to ruin the atmosphere for anyone but here we are. The casts are each marvelous & wicked talented in their own way & I'm grateful my faves got to work alongside two wonderful couples who are well-rounded people with lovely personalities & much experience in the bl industry BUT I had high hopes for a well-directed and well-written script for such a good ensemble cast. Don't even get me started on the horrid bgm. I know it's tough for each couple to have their fair share of screen time & moments for their relationship to grow through their stories in the series given that there are 3 couples but I think more could have been done to let Arnold & Tua's relationship breathe & deepen more. I feel that they are given little time per episode as their scenes are rushed & cut awkwardly when so much more context & crucial lines left unsaid weren't brought to life like what was in the novel. Arnold & Tua are so much more than how they are superficially depicted in the series. Each time I was disappointed with how it turned out in the series, I just kept my peace by rooting for JossGawin & the commendable acting talents they have that I have always loved analyzing per episode but their potential isn't stretched to its maximum length. Both of them are capable of acting with much enthusiasm to bring life to the characters they play giving justice to the romance of their story but why are they given little opportunities to showcase that? #OnlyFriendsDreamOnEP10

Actually, MGB is not in the top of good series for me because the script has many unreasonable parts and the cgi is just so funny. However, it still fully shows us the personality and development of the characters. And because it’s a series with only one couple, they have enough screen time to build that relationship more completely. Because of that, the overall work feels much more solid, as viewers can still follow the emotional flow of the characters. As for Only Friends Dream On, there are three couples, and each episode is only about 45–50 minutes (episode 10 - 60 minutes). There are too many storylines happening across the three couples, while the script is poorly written and the screen time is distributed unreasonably. Instead of focusing more on analyzing the characters’ personalities or their backgrounds so that the viewers can better understand each character, they just include too many unnecessary scenes that waste time in a meaningless way. This leads to viewers being unable to keep up with the sudden changes in the characters as well as the development of their relationships and feels like everything is happening too fast and unreasonable. So glad the series has 12 episodes. If it were 8-10 episodes, I don't know if viewers would understand what they're watching. #OnlyFriendsDreamOnEP10

Okay here are my thoughts for this episode to be honest. This will be my first negative feedback on the entire series cause I’ve been holding on for JossGawin. You may or may not read. - Characters changed from one relationship to the other like The Flash changing his clothes. - Their feelings were easily swayed every five minutes by what? (What do you mean Jack was about to love Raffy and Arnold went to Boston to basically give his blessing for being back Tua?) - This episode felt like it was the ending already, they got the continuation of the climax, the turning point, and the resolution, all in one episode. (The last 2 episodes will probably all be epilogues) - The transition in scenes are not transitioning, so like how long as it already been since the ‘AD supposed to be scandal’? - Personally I don’t like either JG kissing other actors (this is just personal preference but would still support them if they do) BUT WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT BAD CAMERA ANGLE WITH ARNOLDDEAN KISSING SCENE on the play? 🫠 - Lastly, the elephant in the room, the JG most awaited NC scene was a major part of the promotion for this show. So naturally fan would expect more right? They are under the impression that it would be a big deal, this is the very reason why we gaslighted ourselves into accepting the couch scene as it is. In the hopes the this scene would compensate. Personally I don’t even need it longer or more explicit, I just wanted it properly presented because JG DELIVERED in that scene! They don’t need to prove anything anymore just reference to MGB, so why was that not capitalized? The bad angle, the loud music (I’m not expecting it to be melodramatic like MGB cause obviously on different themes but what the hell was that BM???) -And let’s be honest and clear here, despite marketed as multi CP installation, OFDO from the get go was centered to JackDean, as unfair as it is, but even that they fucked up because I can’t even feel Jack’s character anymore. -I’m so mad because all the actors are so good!!!! Just take Gawin’s and Mix’s emotional acting! You would cry with them. The rest are as equally as good and dedicated if not better. They put a lot of talent and invested time and efforts only for the series to look like this. 3 amazing CPs, I can’t even. -So yes, I think speaking ‘negative’ opinions or takes would bring out positive outcomes in the long run. And doing it while trending is the best way to be seen. We need to let them know our sentiments otherwise they would continue producing these mediocre plots and production because they’d be under the impression that we would always eat what they serve because we love and support JG regardless. But, Enough is enough. -As long as we don’t make all our post be ‘negative’ we are allowed to voice out our criticisms. If you continue to tweet, make edits, post photos, share translations, and whatnot just to support and promote JG. You’re allowed to voice your constructive criticisms, and tbh even if you don’t do any of that, as long as you’re not complaining for the sake of hating, you’re still have all the the rights to share your sentiments. -P.S: I’m still mad that I was hoping for Arnold’s character build up as episodes go by, yet up until now I’m still convinced he’s homeless. I see people complaining about the fake camera angle for the Arnold & Dean kiss, but honestly, that is the least of our worries with this show right now :))) It’s not just the plot holes anymore, 80% of the dialogue doesn't even make sense. How did they manage to make the live-action worse than the novel?! In the book, Arnold ran into Tua and Boston while Boston was waiting to drive Tua to campus. Obviously, Arnold was heartbroken & furious (he wanted to explain things to Tua so badly and still believed they hadn't officially broken up yet). So he literally jumped Boston, and they fought so hard that Arnold accidentally hit Tua... that is supposed to be the climax of the drama. Afterward, Arnold just wants to know what Boston's intentions are with Tua, and Boston explains everything on Tua's behalf because he knows Tua still loves Arnold. But in the series? WTF why would they make a character like Arnold so ready to just GIVE UP Tua to Boston after one pathetic, weak attempt at getting him back??? Where is the LOVE??? And don't even get me started on the other couples like what do you mean Jack is suddenly ready to fall in love with Raffy after ONE day? 😟 Then there's the fact that the director or producer (whoever is responsible) is shoving in every possible cameo every two episodes. I have nothing against special guests. Usually they make things more interesting, but NOT IN THIS CASE. Why does one of the main pairs not even get enough screen time to talk, kiss, or even f*ck while there are episodes where a cameo couple gets 10+ minutes of screen time without contributing anything to the plot. Are you kidding me??? Then ARNOLD, one of the SIX main characters CAN'T EVEN GET 5 MINUTES FOR HIS POV??!!! As if the shallow storyline wasn't bad enough, they make it ten times worse with the choppy editing, messy framing, and pointless scenes. I can’t believe I'm saying this, but the entire directing and producing team needs to take audience criticism seriously after this project. If they can’t handle a proper ensemble cast, they should just stick to what they're actually good at. This is a massive slap in the face to the fans who have been waiting for so long and still tried to support everything up until now. #OnlyFriendsDreamOnEP10 #OnlyFriendsDreamOn

I don't want to complain too much, but I'm still so disappointed that I have to say it As just an ordinary viewer wanting to review the series, I feel lucky that we have good actors, their performances have saved it. Because honestly, it’s not just my favorite couple ArnoldTua, all three couples, along with their stories and characters, have a lot of flaws. From the script, the lines , the background music, cinematography, editing, and screen time distribution, everything is quite poorly handled. Everything happens too quickly and feel disjointed, lacking connection between issues and characters, and more and more things are left unresolved in a reasonable way. I waited for so long, and yet… (If you think this series is good, then we simply don’t share the same taste.
