I left my Meta job with a 2024 compensation potential of $1-$1.25M to start my own company. Here is how I did in 2024 on my own: 🟢 Revenue: $440K (Goal: 350K - 750K) 🟢 Paid Students: 700+ (Goal: 1000) 🟢 Free Students: 16,000 🟢 New courses: (Goal: 3 new courses rated 4.8+) 🌲 2 new successful courses (Product Thinking: 4.9, PM Interview Bootcamp: 4.9) 🌲 1 new course launched at EOY (Accelerate PM Career: 5) 🟡 Audience: 🟢 +9K email list growth (1K-10K) 🔴 +5K LinkedIn (goal: 50K) 🔴 Products: 0 (Goal: 3 products with 1 product-market fit) 🔴 Newsletter: 0 (Goal: 1 consistent newsletter) 🔴 Podcast: 0 (Goal: 1 consistent newsletter) 🔴 Pace: Was close to burn out by mid Nov. Worked 7 days a week for 10+ months Overall I gave myself a 7/10 for the year. Building products was a key component of the year and I did not do anything. So I had to hold myself accountable for it. In 2025 I am going to let it all go and reinvent myself as a product builder and I will share more tomorrow.
