@bozottisbad Yea I follow a program that goes by a wave periodisation ( a 5 week cycle followed by deload) after the first 2 weeks of the cycle I do feel soreness the next day but I think it’s due to increase volume during those weeks

@leonny01 yea that happens from monotony. Change training after 8-10 weeks of doing the same shit and the whole cycle will restart again for you.

Everyone believes in the theory of supercompensation, or at least their fitness program relies on it. However, as far as I can work out, not a single test, study, any attempt to validate/invalidate, or even measure anything in the theory has ever been conducted.

all we know is that we feel really sore on the second day after a big workout, and that if you train too much you get injured. Nothing else is known and all that was known prior to supercompensation. There are so many unknowns which would benefit all athletes and coaches.
