We're not going to overcome fear and greed as driving forces but we've clearly grown somewhat as a community. Proof being the open and rampant discussions of risk.

@DeanEigenmann Agreed that the deployment of philanthropy is a part of a broader discussion. However, assuming the UBI is sourced from tax collection (e.g. VAT), a wealthy person will also likely pay significantly more into the system than he or she receives in UBI payments.

For example, what about experimental game theory or private cooperations using the public Ethereum chain? How could governance possibly draw that line on acceptable use cases?

@joonian Exactly. What's surprising is the fact that people would think the government is certain of any specific R rate.

No surprise there. And of course the R will rise if the government encourages people to get out more. Particularly with no operational contact tracing programme.
