The future of Tesla never felt as tangible as it did tonight. As we put it in the title of a research paper 4 years ago… the trillion-dollar startup. That’s the new unicorn.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has welcomed dialogue and agreement and continues to do so. Breach of commitments, blockade and threats are main obstacles to genuine negotiations. World sees your endless hypocritical rhetoric and contradiction between claims and actions.

@SpaceElevator7 @scottlincicome That is a narrative many sell. Look at the American Auto industry, the cars were poorly made and without comp at the time were expensive. The Japanese did not use slave labor or allow poor working conditions. US cos. and labor were fat and wanted protection.

The US was the leader in many of these industries. And we started losing market share, not because of lack of competitiveness, but because of distortive tariffs. Or because foreign countries were using virtual slave labor, terrible working conditions, no environmental protections, etc. There's very good reasons to hit China with tariffs over their human rights abuses, for example. And we certainly should look at new areas to rebuild our economy. I think economic development of space is a great opportunity. We could bring in quadrillions of dollars per year from asteroid mining. But tariffs are a great way to protect our industry from distortions, and restore a free market.
