@drculasdaughter EXACTLY. lestat did not want to do that shit, he did NOT want to share such an intimate bond w a little girl he didn't know, and immediately after doing it, he feels like Louis is treating him like a tool he used to make a companion he actually wanted.

@LosRodrigosG Oh definitely! And I think that Claudia knows that it's all because he wants to make Louis happy, which is why she resents Louis, too. But you're right; Armand is equally controlling (presses her as a little girl forever even further) and her ultimate downfall.

@leliosorrow the thing is if that were true why didn't Lestat follow them to Paris before the trial. Why didn't Lestat follow Louis and Armand after the trial? If Lestat truly wanted to own and control Louis, he wouldn't have stayed alone w his heartbreak. He would have gone after them!

lestat having material power through being more powerful and white does not mean louis didn’t hurt him this is literally what’s addressed in the ending of s2 AND BY JACOB TOO. lestat had all that power yet louis had a emotional upper hand. if u can’t accept that thats ur issue
