The new engineer is a product manager with vision. Someone who knows what to build, can direct the agent, and can tell when it's wrong.

I onboarded my non-technical team to Cursor today. This is the future. For the longest time, we've been playing telephone. Teammates creating tickets for engineers, who copy and paste whatever they said into Cursor.

My team did not think it was funny

a lot of problems can be solved by removing yourself from the equation. i was playing team mom. chasing updates so i could pass them along. managing two people like children. then i just stepped out. let them work directly with each other. now im grandma overseeing the process

i tried both remote and in person. with remote, i closed 10k mrr in a week, and my uk partner fixed all the bugs while i was sleeping. when i tried in person, i wasted so much time communicating. in the ideal world, ICs rule. no meetings. we just drive results, that is.
