Have you noticed the brown bags at the end of driveways around Franklin? That’s because Franklin collects residential brush and leaves waste four times a year. Make sure to use paper compostable yard bags! #apeswaste @franklinlorax

Naturally occurring stratospheric ozone protects us from harmful UV radiation. But because CFCs destroy the stratospheric ozone, we are left exposed to the UV radiation and have to wear sunscreen to stay safe from the sun @franklinlorax #apesair

Playing outside is an awesome way to reduce energy usage! Even though we don’t realize it, just by being inside we are likely using lights, chargers, and entertainment systems. #apesenergy

With having to be at home because of corona, my little brother has used A LOT of energy by playing xbox. In order to reduce energy usage, we limit him to one hour a day and have now switched to playing outside which uses no energy! #apesenergy @franklinlorax

Car engines use gasoline made from crude oil which releases toxic pollutants when burned. But, because we aren’t driving as much, we are using less gas so there are less car emissions. At least there are some environmental benefits from self isolation! #apesenergy @franklinlorax

Once the snow begins to melt, it will flow quicker through the gravel than smaller rocks because of its high porosity!

Even though our textbooks use a lot of paper and “kill trees,” if forestry is practiced sustainably, then we can continue to make paper books for forever! #apesland @franklinlorax

If you are deciding what food to pack for a trip, remember to pack a balanced diet with a variety of food types to prevent malnutrition. Even though protein bars can meet your caloric and protein needs, making a trail mix can help to balance your diet! @franklinlorax #apespop

Luckily, humans and other K strategists follow the logistic growth model so that their population levels off once they have reached the carrying capacity of their environment. That's why it is important for our moms to care for us to help us survive! @franklinlorax #apeseco

Everyone in my family is a k-strategist! My mom had only one kid at a time caring about the quality of each of us, where as a r-strategist would have had many youngs and not worried about their quality! shoutout to my mama for caring and nurturing us! @franklinlorax #apeseco

George and Rudy may look very different in size, but they are both the same species! Due to random mutations and breeding, George’s genetic composition gave him short legs, while Rudy’s gave him long legs #apeseco @franklinlorax
