Yesterday I had the great honour of graduating the @kingsbschool class of 2023. The great Soraya Berry @scribbler1888 pointed out I looked a bit like a muppet. Not for the first time.

26 years ago, I was picking up my graduation gown. Today I’m graduating other people, which is weird and wonderful.

Social care is overlooked by government, under-resourced & lacks an institutional identity. It’s an increasingly challenging profession to work in with an underinvested workforce. Yet it delivers social inclusion to the most marginalised. Time for recognition, investment & reform

Some very important talking points on student experience in this podcast. What does it mean to be a student? Have we lost the benefits of doing nothing? What does an outcomes-based system mean for how we value higher education? We must keep talking about this.
