Judge Zia Faruqui, the judge who just apologized in court to Cole Tomas Allen, the WHCA dinner attempted assassin, is a Pakistani Muslim. You’ll recall, in March 2026, a Pakistani national named Asif Merchant was convicted for orchestrating a foiled plot to assassinate Donald Trump and other high-ranking U.S. officials. Merchant was found guilty of terrorism transcending national boundaries and murder-for-hire charges after a trial that detailed his efforts to recruit hitmen on behalf of the Iranian government. Pakistanis are arguably the most radical Muslims in the world.
