A lovely early morning visit to Cheddar Reservoir, the sun was just rising! Bonaparte’s Gull, Scaup, at least 2 Little Gulls, Green Woodpeckers the highlights. Alas no photos of ‘Boney’ but good scope views. @somersetbirds @bto_somerset1

Shorelarks have been few and far between in Norfolk this last winter, so I was delighted to join Mike Buckland and search two out at Great Yarmouth North Denes last Monday, after they hadn’t been reported there for 13 days.

72 species of hummingbird seen in Colombia including nine Colombian endemics. Few showed better than this beautiful male White-tailed Starfrontlet from Cuchilla de San Lorenzo on 11th March. 😀
