The ppl who are dogmatic about transfem Jax are the ones really lacking media literacy. They ignore the thematic ideas and symbolism in the show in favor of putting all their eggs into that 1 singular bow scene that lasted 10 - 20 mins of the film and the entire series.

Also, for funsies! Why aren't we arguing to read Pomni is transmasc? If Pomni is a mirror opposite of Jax and Jax is transfem, why not? After all Pomni is put into masculine outfits often and unlike Jax is very comfortable in them. Just food for thought :3

Long post but overall I think the Fandoms desperation for Jax to be read as trans is a reduction of the actual purpose of his character. He's story isn't about how remaining an egg destroys you but how rejecting meaningful relationships in an unchanging existence will destroy you
