I know he wasn't at his best at Royal Ascot but that was a tough ask. His fourth behind Libertango was a good run at Leicester before that and he is still armed with potential in these calmer waters. I get the impression he could be a nice prospect so I expect him to come out on top against these under Oisin Murphy. The money came for ASHEN over C&D on penultimate start and he made no mistake winning with a bit in hand. He was beaten two lengths here last time but the softer ground counted against him. Back on a quicker surface I can see him bouncing back to his best and he looks the one to beat under Lauren Young who takes a handy 5lb off his back here. I doubt this will take a huge amount of winning so HUNTERIAN looks a standout. He impressed getting off the mark over track and trip last month and with further progress to come and only up 3lb I expect him to follow up against these. Hey Havana can give him most to think about as she was a good second at Redcar when last seen. I liked the way ROGUE DEFENCE won on debut over track and trip. He seemed to come there full of running before always doing enough in the closing stages. I know he was beaten at Leicester but that was over a mile and a quarter and that was quite a good race. This is easier back on the AW and back down to a mile so he has more to come and can resume his progress now. All over SUGGY here. This colt by Sergei Prokofiev was off the mark beating another improver in Blue Celestial at Kempton. He fluffed his lines at Newbury but back on the AW here he has more to come given his lightly raced profile and he should prove a cut above these. Karakula Dancer should run well and Lux Aeterna is another one to note as well. Now sent handicapping TURKU could really come into his own. He has been sent off 17/2, 40/1 and 9/1 and has shown promise but has always been one for handicaps. This trip looks perfect for him and in first-time cheekpieces it really wouldn't be a surprise to see him go close with SDS booked. Plenty of dangers likely headed by Barry's Boy but look out for Galaxy Wonder as well.
