A friend of mine in Montreal bought a new iPhone and a new suit, went to Alberta to meet a girl for the first time on a date, came back a few days later, returned the iPhone and suit, and got refunded. I was so shocked when he came back and said he was going to return them, I thought he was joking because I went with him to buy them and naively thought he was doing a serious purchase not until he returned and told me of his plans all along. (This guy has returned more items than I can remember 🤣, Timberland, M&M wears, the list is endless).

Twitter is really just people in poor countries living vicariously through the US

This strike marks a shift from the advertised "ISR and training only" role that the Nigerian army has been pushing about the United States, and more into a freedom of operation style that was seen in Syria, Iraq, Libya and currently still in Somalia, where the US can strike wherever and whenever it deems useful even if it's barely half a dozen militants.

🇳🇬Interestingly, Gen. Onoja, director of media operations, denies the involvement of any US ground troops on the al-Minuki raid, Saying US was limited to ISR support. This is at odds with the NYT report which cites US officials saying Seals were involved.

About two dozen American and Nigerian Special Forces conducted a helicopter-borne assault against Abu Bilal al-Mainuki's compound in the Lake Chad area in northeast Nigeria. US-Nigerian troops battled on the ground against ISWAP fighters for nearly three hours before realizing they wouldn't surrender, air assets then bombed the area killing the jihadists including the high value target - NYT.
