@OutdoorClassDay #3 Year 3 just had to make designs based on the work of Andy Goldsworthy, including a very effective bonfire.

@OutdoorClassUKI #2 at Leyburn today. Year 4 went out and learned all about arrays. It didn't feel like 'learning' but there certainly was a lot of it going on!

@OutdoorClassUKI at Leyburn today. Year 5 particularly focused on securing the concept of 'part' and 'whole' by creating pictorial representations. We discussed and fixed any misconceptions along the way. This was a great way to be actively learning outdoors.

During @OPAL_CIC today, we had a Baby Shower with lots of different ages involved. It's hard to remember what playtimes used to be like...

Blackout poetry is where students take a page of existing text, and selectively "black out" most of the words with markers, leaving behind only certain words to form a new poem. The students used pages from 'Letters from the Lighthouse' by @emcarrollauthor, set during WW11.

How is this for an @OPAL_CIC dynamic risk and benefit assessment? The children wanted to keep the gradient of the slope but altered the support at the end.

Our @OPAL_CIC kitchen is for EVERYONE, including Year 6!

We had our TRG @OpenUni_RfP launch this evening in Catterick library. One of our group was dressed for it!

This is what happens during @OPAL_CIC when adults stand back...

Year 6 have been inspired by the book, Dragonology, to create their own mythical creatures. They then wrote these amazing reports about them and enhanced their work with an array of different interactive elements.
